Spinning a Tale

Stories of (not so) Long Ago

20:00 - Sakina Teyna & Mahan Mirarab

A voice that builds bridges - between times, places, and memories.

Sakina Teyna and Mahan Mirarab weave music and poetry into a tapestry of resistance, hope, and belonging.

Sakina’s powerful voice - in Kurmanji, Zazakî, Sorani, Persian, and Turkish - meets Mahan’s guitar, where jazz, Persian music, and improvisation merge into a rich, emotional soundscape.

Accompanied by visual projections that bring memories to life, a concert unfolds that transcends boundaries — a poetic dialogue between cultures, languages, and inner worlds.

21:00 – Gorgo Mish

At dusk, when shadows blur and opposites intertwine, the world of Gorgo Mish begins. The collective around Omid Darvishi, Kasho Chualan, Marko Ferlan, and Gaj Bostič explores storytelling in its most primal form — as sound, as movement, as transformation.

Their music draws from a wild spectrum: Iranian folklore meets metal, free jazz merges with drone, electronics dissolve into moments of improvised silence.

Between tradition and experiment, a hypnotic sonic ritual emerges - a dialogue between light and darkness, where, as the name Gorgo Mish suggests, the wolf becomes the sheep and the sheep becomes the wolf.
