PROGRAMME

23.10. Festival Opening

19:00   Open Discussion: Weaving Connections

The festival team opens the evening with a presentation of the program and the ideas that inspire Tangled — connection, awareness, diversity, and sustainability.

How can music build bridges? What responsibility does art carry in a time of alienation? And how can new concert formats become spaces of genuine encounter?

In an open round table discussion, musicians, curators, and cultural practitioners from Vienna’s young scene come together to explore connection, multidisciplinarity, and the social role of art.

Into The Web

Music x Theatre x Dance

Synesthetic Project: Arachne

20:00 - Arachne

Step into a web of ritual, music, and movement where stories of femininity and transformation unfold. Arachne is a musical theatre piece celebrating female bonds, rituals, and traditions surrounding womanhood. Inspired by Greek mythology, the work intertwines feminist theory with reflections on multiculturality and personal experience - music, movement, and text merge into a living web that embraces both audience and performers alike.

Threads of Tomorrow

Music x Fashion x Dance

A Fashion Show Reimagined

20:00 – Vox Balaenae

A whisper from the depths of the sea. George Crumb’s iconic Vox Balaenae - inspired by the songs of whales and the cycles of nature - unfolds as a sensual performance of sound, light, and movement.

20:45 - Threads of Tomorrow

Music, fashion, and movement merge into a vibrant collage where the past is reborn. Reimagined fashion show meets contemporary dance and recycled sounds in a poetic act of storytelling and renewal.

Spinning a Tale

Music x Storytelling x Visuals

Stories of (not so) Long Ago

20:00 - Sakina Teyna & Mahan Mirarab

A voice that builds bridges - between times, places, and memories. Sakina Teyna and Mahan Mirarab weave music and poetry into a tapestry of resistance, hope, and belonging.

21:00 – Gorgo Mish

At dusk, when shadows blur and opposites intertwine, the world of Gorgo Mish begins. The collective around Omid Darvishi, Kasho Chualan, Marko Ferlan, and Gaj Bostič explores storytelling in its most primal form - as sound, as movement, as transformation.
