Synesthetic Project: Arachne

Inspired by ancient rituals and mythologies of femininity, this immersive performance invites the audience into a living, breathing ceremony. Inside a web-like installation, three musicians and a dancer weave together classical and folk traditions into a vibrant sonic tapestry — a celebration of connection, empathy, and sisterhood.

Saturday 25.10

Klänge der Grenzenlosigkeit

The second day of the festival opens a portal into the avant-garde, dedicated to the boldest edges of contemporary and experimental sound. This evening is a celebration of artistic freedom and the multiplicity of being — a curated expedition into music as a space of transformation and boundless imagination.

The charismatic Kurdish vocalist Omid Darvishi leads a groundbreaking ensemble that fuses experimental music with ancestral tradition and jazz, creating a hypnotic, deeply resonant experience. Joined by renowned guitarist and composer Mahan Mirarab, the group explores sonic rituals rooted in Zoroastrian literature — unfolding a vivid dialogue between memory and futurity, voice and resonance.

Later in the program, visionary composer Hristina Šušak — whose works have echoed across international stages from Venice to Belgrade — presents a performative sound collage alongside the extraordinary pianist Dušan Sretović. Together, they dismantle and reconstruct notions of physicality, perception, and presence, offering an intense listening experience that is as visceral as it is conceptual.

A night for deep listening, inner movement, and radical openness.

Sunday 26.10

Zwischen Tradition und Innovation

Reimagining classical roots

The third day of the festival explores the space where classical music meets bold, contemporary expression.

The Freestyle Orchestra opens the evening with Threads That Bind — a genre-fluid performance that fuses choreography and live music into a dynamic exploration of form, space, and connection. Known for their inventive approach, the ensemble redefines how we experience classical sound.

Next, the spotlight shifts to the Sustainable Fashion Show Reloaded — a striking performance merging dance and design. Contemporary dancers move through the sculptural, recycled creations of emerging designers Patrizia Ruthensteiner, Nika Vrbica, and Julian Shock, turning fashion into a statement of movement and sustainability.

The evening closes with a solo set by Brian Lawlor, who transforms the music of Bach and Mozart through keyboard and electronics. With subtle disruption and electronic layering, he bridges centuries in a sound that feels both timeless and immediate.

A night where heritage is not preserved — but reimagined.
